First post -- new kitchen, no CD

I'm setting up a blog to talk about our kitchen remodel, other family goings-on, and the fact that we WON'T be doing a Christmas CD this year. There, I've said it. It's a shame, almost a sacrilege. But it's true. The kitchen remodel ate us alive. So...we'll have a party and listen to the ol' tunes and think about what to do next year.

However, on the bright side, the new kitchen is fantastic. Cabinets are being hung now, and counter tops go in next week. Then appliances, including dishwasher! And a sink! Who-hoo! 4.5 months without these things is too much.
